2024 CACC WOMEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP TO BEGIN ON MONDAY

New Haven, Conn. (11/8/24)  The field is set for the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Championship tournament, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced tonight. The eight-team, single-elimination event will begin with the quarterfinals on Monday, November 11.

Thomas Jefferson University (14-1-2, 11-0-0 CACC) became the first CACC women's soccer team since Georgian Court University in 2017 to complete its regular-season conference schedule unbeaten and untied. The Rams are thus the No. 1 seed for the postseason tournament. The University of Bridgeport (7-8-3, 6-5-0), the event's two-time defending champion, has qualified again this season as the No. 5 seed.

Monday's quarterfinals will be held at the sites of the higher seeds, with all matches beginning at 1 p.m. Jefferson will entertain No. 8 seed Holy Family University (6-9-1, 5-6-0) and No. 4 seed Georgian Court (11-5-2, 8-3-0) will host Bridgeport. On the other side of the bracket, No. 7 seed Chestnut Hill College (5-8-1, 5-6-0) will travel to No. 2 seed Caldwell University (11-4-1, 9-2-0) and No. 6 seed Dominican University New York (7-7-3, 6-4-1) will be on the road against No. 3 seed Wilmington University (12-4-1, 8-2-1).

The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, November 14, at 1 p.m. at the sites of the highest remaining seeds. Wilmington is set to host the championship game on Sunday, November 17, at 1 p.m. at its athletics complex in Newark, Del. The winner of the 2024 CACC Women's Soccer Championship will earn the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.

Tickets for all rounds of the 2024 CACC Women's Soccer Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification.
