Caldwell, N.J. (10/11/19) The Dominican College women's tennis team topped host, Caldwell University, 6-1, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action played today at CU Tennis Courts.

Dominican (3-7, 2-5 CACC) took the early 1-0 lead by winning two of the three double matches. Nora Frederick (Dover, Del.) and Paula Gutierrez (Bogota, Columbia) won thier second doubles match and Joana Ndunduma (Cedar Hill, Texas) and Joanna Spano (Orangeburg, N.Y.) won their match by default.

The Lady Chargers took five of the six single matches with Gutierrez, Frederick, Ndunduma, Spano and Isha Mbaye (New Orleans, La.) all picking up victories. Ndunduma rallied from a 7-5 first set loss to win the next two by scores of 6-1 and 6-2 for the win.

DC returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they host Chestnut Hill College.
