HAMBLIN NAMED TO CACC WOMEN'S TENNIS ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/7/22) Twenty-four (24) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2021-22 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 24 honorees represent all seven CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
MEMBERS ON 2021-22 CACC WOMEN'S TENNIS ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/7/22) Twenty-four (24) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2021-22 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 24 honorees represent all seven CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
Thomas Jefferson University and University of the Sciences led the way with five honorees apiece. Jefferson was led by Anna Morgillo's perfect cumulative grade point average of 4.0, while Kirsten Wijnsema had USciences' top mark of 3.89.
Dominican University New York's Alyssa Hamblin (West Babylon, N.Y.) makes her first appearance on the All-Academic Team.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
♦ Eight of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Eleven (11) of the honorees made the CACC Women's Tennis All-Academic Team for the second time.
♦ Three of the honorees made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
♦ One honoree (Wilmington University's Begona Gomar) made the All-Academic team for the fourth time.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
