Monsey, N.Y. (9/4/22) The Dominican University New York women's tennis team defeated the visiting Cardinals from Plattsburgh State, 5-2, this afternoon in non-conference action played at Manny Welder Park.

With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 1-1 overall while the Cardinals fall to 1-1 on the season.

Steffy Espejo (Tunja, Columbia), Nora Frederick (Dover, Del.), and Bipasha Mehn (Hyderabad, India) all went 2-0 on the day.  Espejo and Frederick earned their first doubles victory together, while Mehn picked up a win in second doubles and first singles.
