WOMEN'S TRACK COMPETE AT ARMORY LAST CHANCE MEET

New York, N.Y. (2/23/18) Members of the Dominican College women's track team traveled to the Amory Last Chance meet held today.

In the 60m dash final, Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took seventh place overall with a time of 8.37. In the preliminaries, she finished in eighth place of heat #3 with a time of 8.38. Sophomore Esther Galo (Allendale, N.J.) had a time of 8.41 to finish in ninth place, while Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.) took 13th place overall in the prelims with a time of 9.26. Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) ran a time of 9.58 to take 17th place overall.

Galo took fifth place overall and first in her heat in the 200m dash with a time of 27.65. Jean-Pierre also finished first in her heat and eight overall with a time of 27.87. Freshman Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.) took 11th place overall with a time of 28.47. Auguste ran a time of 32.54 to finish in 22nd place overall.

Jemedy ran in the 400m dash where she took 10th place overall with a time of 1:08.33. Junior Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) was right behind her as she finished in 11th place with a time of 1:08.52.

Senior Kim Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) competed in the 500m dash where she ran a time of 1:30.44 to finish in fifth place.

Andrea Nardone (Stony Point, N.Y.) took eighth place in the 800m run with a time of 2:37.19. Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) finished in 12th place with a time of 2:49.47 and Chelsea Crawford (Montgomery, N.Y.) ran a time of 2:54.40 to finish in 13th place.
