New Haven, Conn. (4/8/18) The Dominican College women's track and field squad competed at the Mark Young Invitational held yesterday at the Dewitt Cuyler Athletic Complex and hosted by Yale University.

In the 100m dash, sophomore Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 10th place with a time of 13.44, while Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) took 19th place with a time of 15.32.

Jean-Pierre ran in the 200m dash where she finished in 16th place with a time of 28.57.  Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.) finished in 19th place with a time of 30.57 and Auguste ran a time of 33.98 to finish in 31st place.

Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.) competed in the 400m dash where she finished in 14th place with a time of 1:05.70.  Senior Kim Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) took 17th place with a time of 1:09.31 and Chelsea Crawford (Montgomery, N.Y.) finished in 19th place with a time of 1:11.53.

Freshman Andrea Nardone (Stony Point, N.Y.) took 20th place in the 800m run with a time of 2:35.89.  Ina Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) finished in 22nd place with a time of 2:38.35.  Junior Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) ran a time of 2:52.37 to finish in 29th place, while Victoria Ostolozaga (Stony Point, N.Y.) finished in 34th place with a time of 3:01.29.

Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) competed in the 5000m run where she took 19th place with a time of 21:34.32.

The 4x100m relay team of Jean-Pierre, Ashley-Ann Courts (Riverhead, N.Y.), Esther Galo (Allendale, N.J.) and Jemedy finished in fourth place with a time of 54.60.

In the 4x400m relay event the team of I. Koeder, K. Koeder, Jemedy and Nardone finished in 5th place with a time of 4:35.84.

The long jump event saw Courts finish in 11th place with a jump of 4.88m (16 feet, 0.25 inches).

Auguste competed in the shot put where she took 12th place with a throw of 8.77m (28 feet, 9.25 inches) and junior Abigail Jacquet (Garnerville, N.Y.) finished in 13th place with a throw of 8.35m (27 feet, 4.75 inches).

Jacquet also took part in the discus throw where she finished in 11th place with a throw of 26.93m (88 feet, 4 inches).
