Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (4/22/18) The Dominican College women's track 4x100m relay team won the event at the Vassar College Invitational which was held yesterday at Weinberg Track.  As a team, the Lady Chargers finished in third place overall.

The team of Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.), Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.), Ashley-Ann Courts (Riverhead, N.Y.) and Esther Galo (Allendale, N.J.) won the relay event with a time of 52.75 out of six teams.

Jean-Pierre won the 100m dash with a time of 13.43. Da-Naeya Rhodes (Union, N.J.) finished in ninth place with a time of 14.69 and Tayina Solon (West Haverstraw, N.Y.) took 12th place with a time of 15.00.

Sophomore Courts took the top spot in the 200m dash with a time of 27.98.  Jean-Pierre finished in second place with a time of 28.12 and Galo took fourth place with a time of 28.36.  Solon ran a time of 31.96 to take 17th place and Rhodes finished in 19th place with a time of 33.53.

Freshman Andrea Nardone (Stony Point, N.Y.) and sophomore Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) took 10th and 11th place in the 1500m run with times of 5:29.58 and 5:37.31.

Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) ran in the 400m dash where she took fifth place with a time of 1:07.44.  Kim Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) finished in sixth place with a time of 1:08.41.  Victoria Ostolozaga (Stony Point, N.Y.) ran a time of 1:11.24 to finish in 1:11.24.

Ina Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) took part in the 800m run where she finished in 10th place with a time of 2:42.29.

The 4x400m relay team of I. Koeder, K. Koeder, Heller and Jean-Pierre took fourth place with a time of 4:40.17.

Ndiaye and Courts tied for third place in the high jump with a jump of 1.42m (4 feet, 7.90 inches).

Courts finished in second place in the long jump with a jump of 4.91m (16 feet, 1.30 inches).

Junior Abigail Jacquet (Garnerville, N.Y.) finished in sixth place in the discus throw with a throw of 29.00m (95 feet, 1.73 inches) and sophomore Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) took 10th place with a throw of 18.58m (60 feet, 11.49 inches).

Ndiaye took part in the javelin throw and took seventh place with a throw of 25.07m (82 feet, 3.00 inches).

In the shot put, Auguste took fourth place (9.13m (29 feet, 11.44 inches)) and Jacquet took fifth place with a throw of 8.39m (27 feet, 6.31 inches).
