LADY CHARGERS TRACK AND FIELD CONCLUDE SEASON AT CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Lakewood, N.J. (5/5/19) The Dominican College women's track and field team finished up the 2019 season at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships held today at the Track and Field Complex.

Lakewood, N.J. (5/5/19) The Dominican College women's track and field team finished up the 2019 season at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships held today at the Track and Field Complex.

The Lady Chargers finished in 13th place overall.

Sophomore Zaria Hankins (Ossining, N.Y.) had the high finish of third place in the shot put event with a throw of 11.05m (36 feet, 3 inches).  Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) took 19th place with a throw of 8.38m (27 feet, six inches).

In the 100m dash, junior Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 18th place with a time of 13.18 and Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.) took 26th place with a time of 13.61.  Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.) and Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) finished in 36th and 37th place with times of 14.24 and 14.32, while Auguste took 40th place with a time of 14.76.

Jean-Pierre took 16th place in the 200m dash with a time of 27.55, while Ndiaye ran a time of 29.21 to finish in 25th place.  Hammond finished in 31st place with a time of 31.65.

In the 400m dash, Jemedy ran a time of 1:06.11 to finish in 14th place and Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) took 17th place with a time of 1:08.33.

Freshman Ann McCormack (Pearl River, N.Y.) took part in the 800m run where she finished in 15th place with a time of 2:40.68.

Megan Childs (Huntingdon, Pa.) competed in teh 1500m run and finished in 17th place with a time of 6:02.10.

In the 100m hurdles, Hammond finished in 13th place with a time of 18.35.

The 4x100m relay team of Ndiaye, Jemedy, Joseph-Jarvis and Jean-Pierre took sixth place with a time of 53.26.

Jemedy, Joseph-Jarvis, McCormack and Marissa Murphy (Bethpage, N.Y.) took ninth place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:49.99.

The high jump had Ndiaye take ninth place with a jump of 1.37m (4 feet, 6 inches).

Hankins and Auguste took 20th and 21st place in the shot put with throws of 19.78m (64 feet, 11 inches) and 18.80m (61 feet, eight inches).
