New Haven, Conn. (5/23/19)  Thirty-two (32) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Track & Field All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 32 individuals represent 10 schools that compete in the sport at the varsity level in the CACC.

Dominican College's Kaitlynn Connor and Djazmina Jean-Pierre were named to the team, with Jean-Pierre making her second appearance and Connor earning her first All-Academic honors.  Jean-Pierre maintains a GPA of 3.69 in her major of education, while Connor holds a GPA of 3.50 in her major of occupational therapy.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.

Wilmington University's Krysta Memis led all honorees on the list with a perfect 4.0 GPA in her major of legal studies. Memis also earned the CACC Top XVI Award at the women's track championship earlier this month for having the highest GPA of all competitors at the final's site in the CACC Championship Festival. Four additional athletes posted GPAs of 3.90-3.99 on the list.

Thirteen (13) student-athletes made the all-academic squad for at least the second time in their respective careers, while six made it for a third time.

Jefferson led all teams with six honorees on the list, while CACC Champion Georgian Court University and Holy Family University followed up with five honorees apiece. Meghan Horan led all Rams with a 3.90 GPA in her major of health sciences. GCU's top mark was 3.96, which is owned by Samantha Smith, and HFU's Susan Bridge led her squad with a mark of 3.76.
