LADY CHARGERS TAKE PART IN WEST POINT TUNE UP

West Point, N.Y. (2/20/22) Members of the Dominican College women's track team competed at the West Point Tune Up held yesterday at the Gillis Field House.

Freshman Vanessa Greaves (Bridgetown, Barbados) had the high finish of the meet as she took seventh place in the 60m finals with a time of 8.31.  In the preliminaries of the event, she finished in eighth place with a time of 8.35.

The 60m preliminaries also saw Armanie Abreu (Brentwood, N.Y.) take 15th place with a time of 8.56, while Cyan Bullock (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took 23rd place with a time of 8.86.  Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) ran a time of 8.99 to finish in 26th place, while Melissa Moise (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took 30th place with a time of 9.25.  Krystal Parris (Toronto, Canada) finished in 32nd place with a time of 9.49.

The team also competed in the 200m where Greaves also had the high finish of 16th place with a time of 28.81.  Abreu took 20th place with a time of 20.49 and Moise ran a time of 30.86 to finish in 27th place.  Hammond took 32nd place with a time of 31.74 and Parris finished in 35th place with a time of 35.26.

DC is scheduled to travel to the Fast Track National Invite this comng Friday.
