Glassboro, N.J. (3/27/22) Freshman thrower Vanessa Greaves (Bridgetown, Barbados) set a new school record and won the javelin event at the 2022 Oscar Moore Invitational held yesterday and hosted by Rowan University.

Top Performances

  • Greaves recorded a new school and personal record in the javelin to win the event with a throw of 42.68m (140'0").
  • The 4x100m relay team of Steffy Espejo (Tunja, Colombia), Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.), Ann McCormack (Pearl River, N.Y.) and Anna Murphy (Holbrook, N.Y.) had a third place finish with a time of 4:40.63.
  • Sprinter Armanie Abreu (Brentwood, N.Y.) took fourth place in the 100m dash with a time of 13.26.
  • McCormack had a fifth place finish in the 1500m run with a time of 5:19.43.

Other Performances

  • Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) ran in the 100 hurdle preliminaries where she finished in fifth place with a time of 19.43.
  • Tatyana Oscario (Middletown, N.Y.) took seventh place in the 100m dash with a time of 14.58.  Krystal Parris (Toronto, Canada) finished in 11th place with a time of 15.07, while Angelica Figueroa (New York, N.Y.) finished in 12th place with a time of 15.28.
  • McCormack competed in the 800m event where she took ninth place with a time of 2:36.90.  Murphy took 11th place with a time of 2:41.64.
  • In the 400m dash, Murphy ran a time of 1:07.58 to finish in 10th place.
  • Cyan Bullock (Spring Valley, N.Y.) competed in the long jump where she took ninth place with a jump of 4.30m (14'1.25").
  • The 100m dash preliminiaries saw Melissa Moise (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finish in 11th place with a time of 14.98.
  • Sabrina Hernandez (Stony Point, N.Y.) took 13th place in the shot put with a throw of 9.25m (30'4.25"), while Stacy Eliezer (New City, N.Y.) finished in 14th place with a throw of 9.05m (29'8.25").
  • In the 1500m run, Espejo took 15th place with a time of 6:02.89, while Nicole Kordonias (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) finished in 21st place with a time of 7:49.46.
  • Eliezer finished in 15th place in the discus throw with a throw of 21.80m (71'6") and Hernandez took 19th place with a throw of 20.27m (66'6").
  • Nine runners took part in the 200m dash with Abreu having the high finish of 31st place with a time of 29.78.
