Ewing, N.J. (4/29/23)  The Dominican University New York men's and women's track and field teams completed competition today at the TCNJ Lions Invitational held yesterday and today at the TCNJ Track and Field Complex.

WOMEN'S RESULTS

• The 3000m steeplechase event saw Anna Murphy (Holbrook, N.Y.) take second place with a time of 14:17.33.
• The women's 4x400m relay team of Murphy, Jayda Jones (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), Anjalice Arias (Middletown, N.Y.) and Julia Dunne (Babylon, N.Y.) took third place with a time of 4:37.57.
• In the women's 4x100m relay event the team of Dunne, Jones, Krystal Parris (Toronto, Canada) and Arias placed third with a time of 54:62.
• Murphy finished in 15th place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:17.35.
• Thrower Miranda Tucker (Nassau, Bahamas) took 19th place with a throw of 10.32m (33' 10.25").  Stacy Eliezer (New City, N.Y.) finished in 27th place with a throw of 9.57m (31' 04.75").
• Freshman Jones ran in the 100m dash and finished in 25th place with a time of 13.67.  Parris finished in 34th place with a time of 14.11, while Chidinma Ndukauba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took 54th place with a time of 15.66.  Kristen Teklits (New Fairfield, Conn.) had a time of 17.75 to take 61st place and Andrea Clark (Welwyn, U.K.) took 62nd place with a time of 18.25.
• Jones took 28th place in the 200m dash with a time of 28.76.  Arias finished in 44th place with a time of 40.79 and Parris ran a time of 31.17 to finish in 49th place.
• In the 400m dash, Nicole Kordonias (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) ran a time of 1:28.05 to finish in 28th place.
• Eliezer competed in the hammer throw and took 28th place with a throw of 29.49m (96' 09").

MEN'S RESULTS

• Sprinter Olatunji Adewole (North Plainfield, N.J.) had the finish of second place in the 400m dash with a time of 50.37.
• The 4x100m relay team of Dariel Suarez (North Bergen, N.J.), Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.), Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) and Adewole took second place with a time of 44.50.
• Jumper Lauredent took fourth place in the long jump with a jump of 6.32m (20' 09.00").  Jeffrey Li Rivera (Suffern, N.Y.) had a jump of 5.52m (18' 01.50") to finish in 18th place.
• In the 4x400m relay event the team of Adewole, Samuel Fileen (Monroe, N.Y.), Steven Smith (Yonkers, N.Y.) and Prince Copeland (Haverstraw, N.Y.) finished in seventh place with a time of 3:40.95.
• Li Rivera finished in 10th place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.75.
• Freshman Chase Freed (Queensbury, N.Y.) competed in 5000m run where he placed 20th with a time of 18:40.85.
• Junior Suarez took 24th place in the 100m dash with a time of 11.93.  Aidan Mallon (Bohemia, N.Y.) finished in 41st place with a time of 12.40.
• Thrower Louis Rodriguez (Monsey, N.Y.) competed in the shot put event where he finished in 30th palce with a throw of 10.35m (33' 11.50").
• Suarez also competed in the 200m dash where he finished in 49th place with a time of 24.47.  Freshman Fileen took 52nd place with a time of 24.58, while Smith finished in 61st place with a time of 25.77.  Mallon took 68th place with a time of 26.34.
• Freshman Aidan Nelson (Tappan, N.Y.) took part in the 1500m run and finished in 55th place with a time of 4:36.64.  Daniel Pinilla (Blauvelt, N.Y.) took 65th place with a time of 4:55.53 and Copeland finished in 66th place with a time of 4:57.44.  Chase Freed placed 68th with a time of 5:08.40.
• Nelson took 56th place in the 800m run with a time of 2:12.63.  Copeland ran a time of 2:14.47 to finish in 58th place and Pinilla placed 65th with a time of 2:28.51.

The teams resturn to action next weekend as they compete in the 2023 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships to be held on May 6-7 on the campus of Georgian Court University.
