VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS POST UNIVERSITY
Waterbury, CT (10/27/11) The Dominican College women's volleyball team revenged a loss earlier in the season by defeating host, Post University, 3-0, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played at the Drubner Center. With the victory, Dominican improves to 15-13 overall and 11-6 in the conference, while Post falls to 7-20 overall and 6-12 in the CACC.

The Lady Chargers took the first set 25-20 and took a 2-0 match lead with a 25-17 set two victory. In the third set, the Eagles held a 21-18 lead when Dominican rallied for a 25-22 win and 3-0 match victory.
Junior Courtney Heard (Ventura, CA) was one of two Lady Charges in double figues in kills with a team leading 11 kills for a match leading .647 attack percentage. Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) added 10 kills (.357 attack percentage) and eight digs in the win. Libero Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, TX) had a team leading nine defensive digs, while setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) had a match leading 32 assists.
Dominican returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Goldey-Beacom College for a tri-match. DC will take on GBC at 12pm in a CACC match and will face non-conference opponent, Mercy College at 2pm.
