WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL STAGE EPIC COMEBACK IN VICTORY OVER FELICIAN UNIVERSITY
Rutherford, N.J. (11/4/15) The Dominican College women's volleyball team rallied from an 0-2 deficit to defeat host, Felician University, 3-2, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played in Job Gymnasium.

DC trailed in all five sets, dropping the first two by scores of 26-24 and 25-17. The Lady Chargers rallied to win the third set, 28-26 and the fourth set, 26-24 to tie the match at 2-all. In the final set, Dominican came back from a 9-6 deficit for the 15-12 win.
Junior Cortney Yeoman (Glenn Dale, Md.) posted career highs of 17 kills and a .410 attack percentage, with four block assists in the victory.
Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) had 14 kills and nine digs, while Kelly Murphy (Evergreen, Colo.) had 13 kills and 21 digs.
Libero Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had a match best 22 digs and Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) tallied 16 digs.
Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) also had a new career high of 48 assists.
Set three saw the Lady Chargers trail 21-16 when Hallstein served four straight points to bring them within a point, 21-20. With the set later tied at 26-all, back-to-back attack errors gave DC the 28-26 win.
In the fourth set, Dominican trailed by six points (20-14) when they went on a 9-2 tear to claim a 23-22 advantage. The Lady Chargers took advantage of attack errors to tie the set at 2-2 with a 26-24 win.
The final set once again saw DC trailing, 9-6, but they rallied with three straight points to make the score 9-9. With the set later tied at 11-all, Dominican used a 3-1 run to put them at match point, 14-12. A kill from senior Ashley Joyner (Edgewood, Md.) completed the epic comeback with the 15-12 win and 3-2 match victory.
With the win, Dominican improves to 5-23 overall and 5-11 in conference play.
