Shippensburg, Pa. (9/3/16) The Dominican College women's volleyball team fell to 0-4 on the season after losing two matches today at the Raider Classic. Dominican lost to Southern New Hampshire University, 3-0 (14-25, 20-25, 21-25) and were defeated by the host Shippensburg University, 3-0 (9-25, 12-25, 22-25).

Shippensburg, Pa. (9/3/16)  The Dominican College women's volleyball team fell to 0-4 on the season after losing two matches today at the Raider Classic.  Dominican lost to Southern New Hampshire University, 3-0 (14-25, 20-25, 21-25) and were defeated by the host Shippensburg University, 3-0 (9-25, 12-25, 22-25).

Match One

In the day's opening match against Southern New Hampshire University, the Lady Chargers were led by senior Cortney Yeoman (Glenn Dale, Md.) with six kills.

Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) had five kills.

Freshman Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) added four kills and a team leading 10 defensive digs.

Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) recorded nine digs, while Alexa Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.) andNatalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) had eight digs each in the loss.

Senior Kera Dexter* (Selah, Wash)  had a team high 17 assists, to go along with four kills and six digs.

Match Two

Williams led the Lady Chargers in the loss to Shippensburg with five kills and added five digs.

Kim had a season high 17 defensive digs, while Knopf added 12 digs.

Dexter had a team best 17 assists, while Yeoman added four kills.

Dominican will have their home opener on Tuesday night as they host Southern Connecticut State University.  Match time is slated for 7pm on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
