DEVILS UPEND WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Philadelphia, Pa. (9/17/16) The Dominican College volleyball squad was upended, 3-0, this afternoon by the Devils from the University of the Sciences in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played at Bobby Morgan Arena.

The Lady Chargers scored the first eight points in set one and led 11-3 when the Devils went on a 15-3 tear to go in front 18-14. With the set later tied at 18-18, USCI scored seven straight points to take the set, 25-18.
DC led 18-14 in the second set when the Devils rallied once again with six unanswered points to gain a 20-18 lead. Dominican countered with a 4-0 spurt, but it wouldn't be enough as the Devils won the set 25-23.
The Devils were able to secure the 3-0 match win with a 28-26 edge in the third set.
Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) led Dominican with eight kills, while Alexa Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.) added six kills and eight digs.
Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) contributed five kills and eight digs.
Setter Kera Dexter* (Selah, Wash.) had 19 assists, while libero Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had a team leading 13 digs.
Following the loss, Dominican falls to 2-8 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
DC is back in action on Thursday evening as they travel to non-conference foe, Pace University.
