Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/22/16)  The Dominican College women' s volleyball team were defeated by the visiting Griffins of Chestnut Hill College, 3-0 (20-25, 16-25, 17-25) this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

Sophomore Alexa Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.) led Dominican with seven kills on the afternoon and had six digs.

Cortney Yeoman (Glenn Dale, Md.), Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) and Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) all recorded five kills in the loss.  Napoleon and Dexter both finished with a .286 attack percentage.  Dexter added six block assists, six digs and a team best 17 assists.

Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had a team high 10 digs, while Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) contribued nine digs.

Dominican (4-18, 3-10) will be on the road Tuesday night as they travel to CACC North Division rival, Nyack College.
