Bronxville, N.Y. (11/2/16) The Dominican College women's volleyball team was clipped by the Concordia College Clippers, 3-1 (15-25, 17-25, 25-22, 19-25), this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played in the Meyer Athletic Center.

Dominican dropped the first two sets and trailed 16-13 in the third frame when the Lady Chargers went on a 4-0 spurt to pull in front 17-16. With the set tied at 22-all, senior Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) recorded a service ace and back-to-back Clipper attack errors gave DC the 25-22 set win.
Concordia opened up the fourth set with a 4-1 lead and later used a 6-2 run to break a 12-12 tie and take the lead for good en route to the 25-19 win and 3-1 match victory.
Freshman outside hitter Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) tallied a career high 10 kills and added two block assists.
Cortney Yeoman (Glen Dale, Md.) had six kills, while Alexa Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.) recorded five kills and five block assists. Mykalee Chambers (Bronx, N.Y.) had five block assists.
Libero Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) led the team with 16 digs and Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) added 12 digs and three service aces.
Dexter finished with a team high 22 assists.
The Lady Chargers (4-22, 3-14 CACC) will travel to a non-conference tri-match at New York Institute of Technology this coming Saturday.
