CACC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL PRESEASON POLL RELEASED

(8/11/17) Caldwell University and Jefferson were tabbed first in the North and South Division, respectively, according to the 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced on Friday by Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting for the poll was conducted by the league's 14 head coaches in the sport.

(8/11/17) Caldwell University and Jefferson were tabbed first in the North and South Division, respectively, according to the 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced on Friday by Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting for the poll was conducted by the league's 14 head coaches in the sport.
Jefferson topped the South Division in the voting with a mark of 86 points and 11 first-place votes. The Rams will enter the 2017 campaign as the defending conference champion, as they defeated Caldwell in the 2016 CACC Championship Final. The Cougars topped the North Division in the preseason poll with a total of 93 points and nine first-place nods.
Caldwell advanced to last season's championship final by knocking off then two-time defending league champion Post University in the semifinals. Post was ranked second in the North in this year's poll, as the Eagles logged 88 points and five first-place votes.
On the South side, Holy Family University rounded out the top two in the preseason standings by placing second with 73 points.
The 2017 season begins on Thursday, Aug. 31, as several programs will be in action that day. The regular season will be a buildup to the 2017 CACC Championship Tournament, which will be held Nov. 14, 18-19. The quarterfinals will be held on Tuesday the 14th, followed by the semifinals and final on Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th. The semis and final will be held at Wilmington University in Delaware.
