LADY CHARGERS DROPS NON-CONFERENCE MATCH TO BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE
Easton, Mass. (9/2/17) The Dominican College women's volleyball team fell in their opening match of the Skyhawk Invitational to the Bears of Bloomfield College, 3-0 (15-25, 11-25, 15-25) this afternoon in a match played in Merkert Gymnasium.

Sophomores Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and Mykalee Chamber (Bronx, N.Y.) each recorded five kills in the loss.
Libero Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) posted a career high 25 defensive digs, while junior Giovanna Del Sordo (Springfield, N.J.) contributed 12 digs.
Setter Essence Boyd (Peekskill, N.Y.) had a team high 10 assists.
Dominican led 14-13 in the opening set when the Bears went on a 9-0 tear to turn the tides and take a 22-14 lead en route to a 25-15 win.
Bloomfield took control of the second set early as they began with a 4-0 lead and went on to the 25-11 win and 2-0 match lead.
DC began the final set on a 7-3 run and with the set tied 12-12, Bloomfield rallied with a 6-1 run to pull in front 19-14. From there another 6-1 match closing run produced the 25-15 win and 3-0 match victory.
Following the match, the Lady Chargers are now 0-2 on the season.
The Lady Chargers return to the Skyhawk Invitational tomorrow when they face Stonehill College and Shepherd University.
