DOMINICAN FALLS TO CONCORDIA

Bronxville, N.Y. (10/20/18) The Dominican College women's volleyball team fell in three sets to the Clippers of Concordia College on Saturday. The Chargers fall to 3-20 (3-12 CACC) on the year while the Clippers improve to 1-17 (1-13 CACC)
The Clippers used an 8-0 run in the opening set which propelled them to the 25-14 win. The Clippers continued their strong play in the second set by defeating the Chargers by a score of 25-11. The third and final set was a back and forth contest but the Clippers were able to hold on for the 25-22 win to help close out DC.
Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) led the Chargers with 8.5 points and 7 kills along with 9 digs. Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) scored 7 points and recorded 7 kills and 5 digs in the loss. Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) scored 6 points and recorded 5 kills.
Sara Hayward (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) led the Chargers in assists with 12. Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) led the team in digs with 10.
Tatienne Tugade-Sua led the Clippers with 12.5 points, 8 kills, and 12 digs. Derillis Valerio contributed 12 points, 11 kills, and 5 digs. Camila Rabassa scored 8 points while Lauren Peters scored 7.5 points. Bianca Ortiz finished the match with 7 points and led the team in assists with 21. Alana Rousset-Hernandez scored finished with four points.
The Chargers will finish the regular season with four straight home games. They will play host to Felician University on Tuesday, October 23rd at 7:00 PM.
