2019 CACC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL PRESEASON POLL RELEASED

New Haven, Conn. (8/21/19) Both the North and South Divisions feature a tie for the first-place spot in the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll, announced on Wednesday by Commissioner Dan Mara. Caldwell University and Post University are tied for first in the North with 89 points apiece, while the latter boasts seven first-place votes, and the former with six nods for the top spot. Georgian Court University and Holy Family University each feature 81 points for No. 1 in the South, with the Lions owning five first-place votes and the Tigers sporting four of their own. The voting for the preseason poll was conducted by the league's 14 head coaches in the sport.

Caldwell University and Post University are tied for first in the North with 89 points apiece, while the latter boasts seven first-place votes, and the former with six nods for the top spot. Georgian Court University and Holy Family University each feature 81 points for No. 1 in the South, with the Lions owning five first-place votes and the Tigers sporting four of their own. All four teams listed above reached the semifinals of the CACC Championship in 2018, as Holy Family went on to capture the title with a victory over Post in the final. The Tigers made a spectacular run to the final of the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament a week later

Rounding out the top three in the North Division was Felician University in third place with 64 points and one first-place vote. Jefferson capped the top three in South with a third-place spot, as the Rams logged 71 points and three first-place votes.

The 2019 regular season gets underway on Friday, Sept. 6, with several teams in action. The regular season serves as a build up to the 2019 CACC Championship, which will be held on Nov. 19, 23-24. The top-eight teams in the regular season standings will qualify for the postseason, which gets underway with the first round on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the sites of the highest seeds. Holy Family will serve as the host institution for the semifinals and final, which will be contested on Saturday, Nov. 23, and Sunday, Nov. 24.
