NYACK RALLIES TO DEFEAT WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Nyack, N.Y. (10/2/19) The Dominican College women's volleyball team were defeated by the Warriors of Nyack College, 3-1, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played in Bowman Gymnasium.

Dominican (0-10, 0-4 CACC) trailed 22-21 in the opening set but earned the side out on a kill from sophomore Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.). Freshman Zoe Clifford (Suffern, N.Y.) served three straight points to lead the Chargers to the 25-22 set win and 1-0 match lead.
Nyack rallied by winning the next three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-17 to take home the 3-1 match win.
Senior Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) had a team best nine kills and a .182 attack percentage.
Sara Hayward (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) tallied 16 assists, while LaPier finished with a team best 12 defensive digs and seven kills.
Senior Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) added nine digs and six kills, while Mykalee Chambers (Bronx, N.Y.) contributed five kills and six digs.
DC returns home on Saturday afternoon when they take on the University of the Sciences.
