WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROP CONFERENCE MATCH TO HOLY FAMILY ON SENIOR DAY

Before the start of the match, DC's five seniors were announced and recognized. Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.), Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.), Sara Hayward (Sloatsburg, N.Y.), Mykalee Chambers (Bronx, N.Y.), and Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) were all recognized before their final home games of their college careers.
The Tigers defeated the Chargers 25-19, 25-11, and completed the sweep with a 25-14 win in the third and final set. The Tigers improve to 17-8 (11-3 CACC) after the win and the Chargers fall to 0-21 (0-15 CACC).
Alyssa Hartney led the way for the Tigers with 13 kills and 13 points. Carly Covington added 12 kills, 13.5 points, and six digs. Gianna Pesognelli added 11.5 points and 10 kills. Jillian Boyle recorded a team-high 16 digs.
Maeve Boylan recorded nine digs while Morgan Silks recorded 11 digs and Mainerys Munoz recorded six digs. Silks led the team in assists with 36.
For the Chargers, Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) and Knopf each recorded five kills. LaPier finished the game with a team-high eight points and eight digs while Knopf added 5.5 points and nine digs. Napoleon and Robinson each recorded four kills. Napoleon scored five points and Robinson scored four points.
Krystal Paulino (Bronx, N.Y.) recorded nine assists while Hayward added seven assists. Chambers added three kills, 3.5 points, and two digs. Alicia Dennis (Kemp, Texas) led the team in digs with 13.
The Chargers will be back in action on Tuesday, November 5th when they travel to Post University for a conference match against the Eagles at 7:00 PM.
