Bio

Coach Hedbeck was hired in January of 2018 to take over the helm of the women's volleyball program.

Hedbeck has spent the past few years giving private volleyball lessons.  Prior to that, she has coached several club teams and served as a defensive coordinator for the Allegro volleyball club.

Hedbeck spent her collegiate career at the University of Nebraska where the Cornhuskers made two appearances in NCAA Division I Final Four Tournament and won the National Championship in 1995.  She currently holds the school record for digs (34) in a single match, ranks ninth in service aces (117), 10th in career post-season service aces (14) and 11th all-time in digs (1,018).  Hedbeck also ranks second in season aces (36) and third in season digs (359) among Nebraska's freshman records.  She was named the Big 8 Backcourt Specialist of the Year in 1995 and served as a team co-captain in 1996.  Hedbeck also earned Academic All-Conference honors in 1994-1996.

A native of Sweden, Hedbeck played on the Swedish Junior National Team where she served as a team captain from 1990-1992.  She also was a member of the Swedish National Team from 1992-1993.

A 1998 graduate of the University of Nebraska, Hedbeck earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
