BASEBALL DROPS SEASON OPENER TO RAVENS

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (2/21/20) The Dominican College baseball team fell in the 2020 season opener to Franklin Pierce University,10-4, this afternoon in a non-conference game played at The Ripken Experience.
The Ravens led 3-0 after four innings of play, but the Chargers got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth as designated hitter Steven Santana (Bronx, N.Y.) singled home a run.
Franklin Pierce tacked on seven more runs in the seventh to increase the lead to 10-1. DC countered with three runs in their final at-bat with three runs as Brian Parzyck (Naugatuck, Conn.) delivered an RBI single and Ryan Ruziecki (Lincroft, N.J.) later followed with a two-run single.
Starter Eric Sandusky (Stony Point, N.Y.) took the loss.
Dominican (0-1) will take on Southern New Hampshire University in a non-conference double-header tomorrow.
