Mount Olive, N.C. (3/10/20) The No. 7 University of Mount Olive baseball team upended the visiting Dominican College Chargers, 11-3, this afternoon in non-conference action at Scarborough Field.

Mount Olive, N.C. (3/10/20) The No. 7 University of Mount Olive baseball team upended the visiting Dominican College Chargers, 11-3, this afternoon in non-conference action at Scarborough Field.
The loss drops the Chargers to 2-9 overall, while UMO improves to 18-4.
Dominican scored three runs in the top of the second when two runs scored on wild pitches and the third on a Trojan throwing error for the early 3-0 advantage.
UMO countered with a four-run bottom of the third inning and added a run in the fifth to take a 5-3 lead. A five run bottom of the seventh inning and a run in the eighth led the Trojans to the 11-3 win.
Senior shortstop Joshua Colon (Bronx, N.Y.) went 2-4 at the dish.
Eric Sandusky (Stony Point, N.Y.) suffered the loss in six innings of work, allowing five runs on 11 hits.
DC will return to Scarborough Field tomorrow to take on the Trojans in another non-conference game.
