CHARGER OFFENSE OFF TO HOT START IN WIN OVER MOLLOY COLLEGE
Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. (11/9/19) The Dominican College men's basketball team scored 54 points in the second half to power them to a 95-75 victory over Molloy College this afternoon at the Mercy College Tip-Off Tournament.

With the win, Dominican is now 1-0 on the young season.
Senior guard Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) scored a game high 23 points, going 6-8 from the three-point arc and 7-12 from the floor, and added five rebounds.
Forward Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) netted 18 points and produced a game best seven assists and five steals in the win. Freshman Tedrick Wilcox (Pawtucket, R.I.) delivered 17 points and eight rebounds in his collegiate debut.
Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) recorded 12 points and Wahaad Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 11 points in reserve.
Senior Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) grabbed eight points and added eight points.
The Charger offense shot 54.0% (34-63) from the floor and 73.9% (17-23) from the charity stripe.
Dominican held a 41-38 lead at the end of the first half and opened the second half on a 21-7 run to jump ahead 62-45 with 14:21 to play. DC would hold a double digit lead for the remainder of the game en route to the 95-75 win.
DC will take on Mercy College tomorrow at 2:15pm.
