SECOND HALF SURGE LEADS CHARGERS OVER DEVILS

(2/8/20) The Dominican College men's basketball team rallied from an eight point deficit at the break to outscore their opponents by 20 points in the second half to lift them to a 77-65 victory over the University of the Sciences in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action played in Bobby Morgan Arena.

With the win, Dominican improves to 17-5 overall and 10-3 in conference play.
Freshman Tedrick Wilcox (Pawtucket, R.I.) led four players in double figures with 17 points (8-11 from the floor).
Guard Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) came close to a triple double with 15 points, a career high seven steals and six assists, while Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) pulled down a game best 11 rebounds to go along with 14 points.
Senior Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) delivered 14 points, six rebounds and five assists in the win.
The Devils held a 44-33 lead with 16:44 left in the second half when the Charger offense awoke by going on a 30-11 run spanning over the next 11 minutes to jump in fromt, 64-55.
A Burgess jumper with 3:35 to play gave DC their biggest lead of the game (71-57), while the final two points were recorded by Rodwell on consecutive free throws.
In the second half, Dominican shot 54.8% from the floor (17-31), 45.5% (5-11) fron the three point arc and 88.9% (8-9) from the charity stripe.
Dominican returns home this coming Wednesday night when they square off against CACC North Division foe, Post University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
