Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/12/20) The Dominican College men's basketball team completed the series sweep of Post University after defeating the Eagles, 65-54, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division battle on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

With the win Dominican improves to 18-5 overall and 11-3 in coference play, while Post drops to 16-8 overall and 10-5 in the CACC.
Dominican got off to a hot start as they quickly took an 11-3 lead on a layup from senior guard Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) with a little over 15 minutes left in the half. Post would rally to later tie the game at 20-all with 6:42 left and would head into the intermission with the 31-30 edge.
The Chargers would open second half play with a 10-0 run to rebuild a 40-31 lead four minutes into the half. Two free throws from Rodwell with nine and a half minutes to go extended the lead to 12 points (49-37), but Post would cut the lead to five points (59-54) with 1:14 to go. DC closed out the game on a 6-0 run for the final 65-54 win.
Rodwell led four Chargers in double figures with 15 points.
Senior Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) grabbed a game best 18 rebounds to go along with 10 points while Jalen Burgess (Spring Gardens, N.Y.) contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.
Guard Jonathan Garcia (Springfield, Mass.) also netted 10 points and four boards.
Tedrick Wilcox (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) scored nine points a-piece with Wilcox adding six rebounds.
DC will travel to Goldey-Beacom College this coming Saturday.
