DOMINICAN CHARGERS TAKE FIFTH PLACE AT YORK XC INVITATIONAL
Bronx, N.Y. (9/23/19) The Dominican College men's cross country team took fifth place overall at the York XC Invitational held at Van Cortlandt Park yesterday.
Bronx, N.Y. (9/23/19) The Dominican College men's cross country team took fifth place overall at the York XC Invitational held at Van Cortlandt Park yesterday.
In the 8k race, the team finished with a combined score of 109 to finish behind Endicott, CCNY, Baruch and John Jay.
Junior Cameron Whitton (Monroe, N.Y.) took 15th place overall with a time of 33:02.00 to average 6.39 per mile.
Oscar Vidal (New City, N.Y.) had a time of 33:49.20 to finish in 19th place, while Nicholas Beutel (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) took 20th place with a time of 33:52.40.
Sophomore Lowell Pierrette (Elmsford, N.Y.) finished in 29th place with a time of 26:32.40 and Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) ran the course in a time of 36:43.40 to finish in 31st place overall.
David Jeffers (Florida, N.Y.) took 34th place with a time of 36:49.00, while Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) finished with a time of 40:31.20 to take 58th place overall.
The Chargers return to action on October 5th when they travel to the NJIT Highlander.
