Bio
Head Coach Joe Burbridge is entering his 15th season as Dominican College Head Softball Coach. The Lady Chargers have made the playoffs in all twelve of his seasons (2020 no playoffs due to CoVid), being a top 3 seed, in ten out of the twelve tournaments.
In the Lady Chargers last completed season 2019 Burbridge earned his 400th career win on April 4th against Felician University. In all the Lady Chargers have won four regular season titles, three Post Season Championships and made 5 NCAA Appearances. Since his arrival in 2008 the Lady Chargers have a record of 240-68 in conference play. His overall record currently stands at 417-255-1.
Prior to coming to Dominican, Burbridge was the head coach at Adelphi University. He compiled a record of 39-13 in his one season there, while setting a school record for wins. The Panthers won the ECC Regular Season Title with an 18-2 record and were ranked as high as 8th in the country, in addition to earning a berth in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
In addition to his coaching duties, Burbridge was named Assistant Director of Athletics in June of 2012. Coach Burbridge is a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey. He received his master's degree from Seton Hall University.
