The Lady Chargers improve their record to 3-5 (2-0 CACC) after their second straight win in conference play. The Warriors fall to 1-7 (0-3 CACC) with the loss.
The first quarter was evenly matched between the two teams with the Warriors holding on to a 12-11 lead. The Lady Chargers outscored the Warriors 24-14 in the second quarter by using an 11-0 run and took a nine-point lead into halftime.
Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) led DC in their strong second quarter by scoring 12 points on four out of four three-pointers. Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) contributed seven points in the first half for the Lady Chargers.
Torrie Eggers led Nyack with 13 points in the first half and Jocelin Wright added seven points in the opening half.
The Lady Chargers held the Warriors to nine points in the third quarter and extended their lead heading into the fourth quarter. DC played a solid fourth quarter to secure the win over the Warriors.
Dominican outrebounded the Warriors 46-34 and shot 39.7% from the field and 72.2% from the free throw line. Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) led the Lady Chargers with 20 points and added 9 rebounds. Latimer finished with 13 points and also pulled down 9 rebounds.
Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) finished the game with 10 points scored and added five steals. Kyla Ramseur (Bloomfield, N.J.) scored nine points while McClutchy finished with seven points and Ciera Rivera added six points.
Eggers led the Warriors in scoring with 15 points. Jocelin Wright and Yamalis Villegas each added 10 points.
The Lady Chargers will be back in action on December 15th when they travel to Mercy College for a non-conference game with the Mavericks. Tip-off is set for 12:00 PM.
