LADY CHARGERS EARN FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN AFTER THRILLING VICTORY OVER JEFFERSON UNIVERSITY

The Lady Chargers improve to 8-9 (6-2 CACC) after earning their fourth straight win. After the loss, the Rams fall to 7-9 (4-4 CACC).
Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) led all scorers with 25 points and recorded 11 rebounds to complete a double-double. Tomlinson delivered a big block on Jefferson's final possession of the game to keep the lead and secure the win. Tomlinson finished the game with three total blocks.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) added 16 points including 4 for 5 from three-point range. Suarez recorded seven assists and six rebounds. Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) added 12 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) finished with eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Jaid Harrell (Kingston, N.Y.) added seven points and two rebounds while Ashley Merritt (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) recorded six assists.
The first quarter was evenly matched between both teams with the Rams holding a slim one-point edge over DC. The Lady Chargers used a strong second quarter to pull ahead of the Rams and take a 37-33 lead into halftime.
DC extended to their largest lead of the game in the third quarter which was nine over the Rams. Jefferson came fighting back and regained the lead at the end of the third quarter.
The Rams extended to their largest lead of the game which was six over DC in the fourth quarter.
Khay'la Latimer hit a three-pointer with over three minutes to play and Jefferson answered when Alynna Williams hit a three to tie the game.
Both teams traded baskets down the stretch. Korina Guerra hit a three-pointer with 1:15 to go in the game which put DC in front 70-68 and would eventually be the game-winner.
On Jefferson's last possession, with four seconds remaining, Taylor Tomlinson recorded a big block on Sabria Lytes to secure the win.
For the Rams, Haley Meinel scored a team-leading 20 points. Alynna Williams finished with 12 points, while Maddie Haney contributed 11 points.
Sabria Lytes finished the game with 10 points and Allie Warren recorded a team-high nine rebounds.
