DC'S WIN STREAK COMES TO AN END AFTER LOSS TO POST UNIVERSITY

Waterbury, Conn. (1/21/20) The Lady Chargers saw their four-game winning streak come to an end after a 53-45 loss to the Eagles of Post University.
The Lady Chargers fall to 8-10 (6-3 CACC) on the season after the loss and the Eagles improve to 12-4 (7-2 CACC).
Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) led DC with 16 points and added nine rebounds. Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) recorded a team-high four steals.
The Eagles got off to a fast start over DC by outscoring the Lady Chargers 14-2 in the opening quarter.
DC's offense bounced back in the second quarter and was able to cut the deficit to 24-15 before the end of the first half.
In the third quarter, the Lady Chargers were able to cut the deficit to six points. The Eagles continued their strong play and kept the lead heading into the fourth quarter.
The Eagles finished the game strong and never gave up the lead on their way to the 53-45 win over DC.
Taylor Williams, Sha'Raya Haines, and Hannah Benac combined for 50 of the 53 points that the Eagles scored. Williams finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds to complete a double-double.
Haines scored 17 points and pulled down 12 boards for a double-double. Hannah Benac finished the game with 15 points and added seven rebounds.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back when they return home on Sunday, January 26th to host conference opponent Georgian Court University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
