TOMLINSON SCORES CAREER-HIGH AS LADY CHARGERS TURN AWAY GEORGIAN COURT UNIVERSITY

Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/26/20) Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) earned a career-high 32 points to help lift the Lady Chargers to victory over the Lions of Georgian Court University by a score of 91-77.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/26/20) Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) earned a career-high 32 points to help lift the Lady Chargers to victory over the Lions of Georgian Court University by a score of 91-77.

DC improves to 9-10 (7-3 CACC) and the Lions fall to 4-13 (2-8 CACC) on the season.

Taylor Tomlinson also recorded a team-high seven rebounds and added three assists, three steals, and two blocks. Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) finished with 21 points and five assists. Ashley Merritt (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) scored 14 points while Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) finished with 12 points.

The Lions held a slim two-point lead after the opening quarter. The Lady Chargers regained the lead in the second quarter and held the lead for the remainder of the game. DC took a 39-36 lead into halftime.

The Lady Chargers did most of their damage in the third quarter and outscored GCU 36-20 in the quarter. Taylor Tomlinson did most of her damage in the third quarter by scoring 16 points. Korina Guerra scored 11 points and Ashley Merritt scored nine points. Both Guerra and Merritt went three-for-three from three-point range.

Tomlinson capped off her career performance with 10 points in the fourth quarter as DC finished off the win.

For the Lions, Andjela Kremenovic scored a team-high 21 points while adding five rebounds and four assists. Nerea Brajac earned a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tian Addison finished with 13 points.

Leighanna Lister finished the game with 10 points and seven assists. Brielle Bisogno contributed eight points and five assists while Janai Brown added seven points.

The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Wednesday, January 29^th when they visit CACC opponent Felician University. The game is scheduled for a 5:30 tip-off.
