CLIPPERS UPEND LADY CHARGERS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/31/17) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division match to the visiting Clippers of Concordia College, 3-0 (9-25, 18-25, 11-25), this evening in a match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/31/17) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division match to the visiting Clippers of Concordia College, 3-0 (9-25, 18-25, 11-25), this evening in a match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 1-26 overall and 0-16 in conference play, while the Clippers improve to 4-12 overall and 4-11 in the CACC.
Sophomores Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) and Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) each paced the team with seven kills each, while Napoleon sported a .222 attack percentage and Knopf added five defensive digs.
Essence Boyd (Peekskill, N.Y.) had a team best 19 assists.
Libero Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) produced a night high 14 digs in the loss.
Dominican sponsored "Dig Pink" this evening to raise funds for the Side-Out Foundation to fight breast cancer. The team sold different types of apparel, raffle tickets and baked goods with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Side-Out Foundation.
The Lady Chargers will travel to Caldwell University this coming Saturday afternoon.
