WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO HOLY FAMILY

Philadelphia, Pa. (9/29/18) The Dominican College women's volleyball team fell to the Tigers of Holy Family University three sets to none in a CACC conference match. With the win, the Tigers improve to 13-5 (7-1 CACC) on the season. The Chargers drop to 2-15 (2-7 CACC).
The Tigers took set number one by a score of 25-9 and followed it up with a 25-16 win in set number two for the 2-0 lead. The Tigers sealed the match win with a 25-11 win in the third and final set of the match.
Chase Wassel led the Tigers with 23 points and 22 kills in the win. Gianna Pesognelli finished with 11 points and 6 kills while Carly Covington scored 10 points and recorded 9 kills in the win. Morgan Silks led the team in assists with 35.
For the Chargers, Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) scored 5.5 points and recorded 4 kills to lead the team. Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge N.Y.) recorded 4.5 points and 3 kills while Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) scored 3 points and recorded 3 kills. Lily Ainsworth (Colorado Springs, Colo.) added 5 assists in the loss.
The Chargers will look to bounce back on Wednesday, October 3rd when they visit the Eagles of Post University for a conference match at 7:00 PM.
