DOMINICAN FALLS TO LIONS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/5/18) The Dominican College women's volleyball team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this evening to the visiting Lions of Georgian Court University, 3-0 (22-25, 14-25, 15-25) in a match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/5/18) The Dominican College women's volleyball team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this evening to the visiting Lions of Georgian Court University, 3-0 (22-25, 14-25, 15-25) in a match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
Set One: Dominican (2-17, 2-9 CACC) used back-to-back Lion attack errors to tie the first set at 22-all before GCU recorded consecutive kills and an attack error to take the first set, 25-22.
Georgian Court won the next two sets 25-14 and 25-15 to go home with the 3-0 match victory.
Shana Rayside led the visitors with 12 kills on the night, while Jaime Sweeney had 19 assists and Gaby Merced tallied 11 digs.
For the Chargers, junior outside hitter Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) had a team high 11 kills and a .292 attack percentage.
Libero Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) recorded a match high 13 digs, while Lily Ainsworth (Colorado Springs, Colo.) tallied 13 digs.
Mykalee Chambers (Bronx, N.Y.) added five kills and a .273 attack percentage.
Dominican will travel to Nyack College this coming Tuesday evening.
