Purchase, N.Y. (9/8/18) The Dominican College women's cross country team opened up the 2018 season with an eighth place at the Purchase College Invitational held today at Purchase College.
The Lady Chargers finished with a team score of 181 to take eighth place. The Coast Guard finished in first place, followed by USMMA, Mount Saint Mary, FDU-Florham and the Fashing Institute of Technology to round out the top five.
Sophomore Andrea Nardone (Stony Point, N.Y.) was the top finisher for DC as she took 15th place with a time of 25:46.3 in the 6k race.
Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) finished in 20th place with a time of 26:17.7 and freshman Anne McCormack (Pearl River, N.Y.) ran a time of 28:17.2 to finish in 42nd place.
Marissa Murphy () took 75th place with a time of 31:54.2, while Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) finished in 84th place with a time of 34:04.9.
Dominican will compete at the Bard College Raptor Invite on September 22nd.
