WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COMPETE AT PHILLY METRO CHAMPIONSHIP
Philadelphia, Pa. (9/7/19) The Dominican College women's cross country team opened the 2019 season at the 41st Annual Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship, hosted by the Jefferson Rams and the Belmont Plateau Cross-Country Hall of Fame on Saturday morning at Belmont Plateau.

Sophomore Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers in the 5,000-meter race as she took 77th place overall with a time of 26:20.7 (8.26 average mile).
Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) delivered a time of 29:48.1 to take 91st place, while Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.) finished in 97th place with a time of 31:01.0.
In her collegiate debut, freshman Angelina Abate (Old Tappan, N.J.) took 103rd place with a time of 35:34.0.
Belmont Plateau is the site of the 2019 CACC Championship meet on Oct. 27 and the NCAA Division II East Regional championship on Nov. 9.
The Lady Chargers are scheduled to travel to the NYIT Invitational on Saturday, September 14th.
