Hockessin, Del. (4/13/22) The Dominican College baseball team dropped a pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games to the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College this afternoon in games played at Doyle Field.

Hockessin, Del. (4/13/22) The Dominican College baseball team dropped a pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games to the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College this afternoon in games played at Doyle Field.
GBC won the first game, 11-2 and took the nightcap, 4-3.
Following the losses, Dominican falls to 10-23 overall and 7-7 in conference play.
Game One: The Lightning led 4-0 after three innings when DC got on the board in the fourth as Ethan Sarmiento (Warwick, N.Y.) reached on a fielder's choice that allowed a run to score.
GBC added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth, but the Chargers got a run back in the fifth on an error to make the score 6-2. The Lightning tacked on five more runs in the fifth for the 11-2 win.
Richard Paulino (San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic), Benjamin Avila (Walden, N.Y.) and Bobby Garbuio (Chappaqua, N.Y.) all had two hits in the loss.
Starter Matt Sabene (Danbury, Conn.) took the loss.
Game Two: GBC led 4-0 after three innings of play, but DC got on the board in the fourth as Garbuio blasted a three-run home run over the left centerfield fence to cut the lead to 4-3.
Christian Fils-Aime (North Babylon, N.Y.) collected two hits in the loss, while Garbuio finished with three RBI.
Starter Andy Alcantara (Brooklyn, N.Y.) suffered the loss.
The Chargers are back in action tomorrow morning when they host Nyack College.
