GOMEZ CERVANTES TIES FOR SIXTH PLACE AT 2023 NCAA ATLANTIC/EAST SUPER REGIONAL

(5/13/23) Dominican University New York men's golfer, Alejandro Gomez Cervantes (Torreon, Mexico) shot a 69 (-3) today in the final round of the 2023 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional to finish in a tie for sixth place overall among the 108 golfers competing in the tournament.

(5/13/23) Dominican University New York men's golfer, Alejandro Gomez Cervantes (Torreon, Mexico) shot a 69 (-3) today in the final round of the 2023 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional to finish in a tie for sixth place overall among the 108 golfers competing in the tournament.
Cervantes had five birdies in the final round on holes one, three, four, seven and 13 in guiding him his best round of the tournament. He finishes the tournament with a three-day score of 219 (74, 76, 79), while moving up 15 spots on the final day to tie for sixth place overall.
Teammate Alexander Lundvall (Stockholm, Sweden) also had his best round on the final day as he scored a 71 (-1) today. Lundvall had five birdies (one, two, five, 13 and 16) during today's round to lead him to a 233 three-day score (83, 79, 71) to tie for 53rd place overall.
Brikke Decoster (Lebbeke, Belgium) concluded the tournament in a tie for 59th place with an overall score of 234 (79, 78, 77). In action, today Decoster tallied two birdies on holes three and 16.
Junior Nicolas Arrieta-Guerra (Bucaramanga, Colombia) recorded one birdie on hole 16 in action today to finish the round with a score of 87. With today's round, Arrieta-Guerra finished in a tie for 98th place with a combined score of 245 (79, 79, 87).
Charles Thomas (Salt Lake City, Utah) finished in 107th place with a three-day total score of 256 (83, 90, 83). In action today, he recorded a birdie on hole three.
As a team the Chargers finished in 14th place overall with a total score of 927 (315, 312, 300) with today's team score being their best round of the super regional. For the tournament Dominican compiled 135 pars, 32 birdies and one eagle.
