MEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS STAC FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WIN
Sparkill, N.Y. (3/16/22) The Dominican College men’s lacrosse team defeated the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College by a score of 12-9.

With the win, the Chargers improve to 3-3 overall on the season.
Patrick Gifford (Galloway, N.J.) started in net for the Chargers and recorded 13 saves to earn his third win of the season.
Cole Vencak (Smithtown, N.Y.) led the way with a hat trick and took nine shots. Kyle Benedetto (Wantagh, N.Y.) added two goals and one assist. Terence O'Loughlin (Nanuet, N.Y.) and Daniel Carson (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) each scored one goal and recorded two assists.
James Conklin (Warwick, N.Y.) and William Gordon (Amityville, N.Y.) contributed one goal and one assist each. Eric Greenwood (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), Ryan Morris (Galloway, N.J.), and Angel Rosario (Staten Island, N.Y.) each had one goal.
Patrick Roderka (Warwick, N.Y.) won 21 of 24 faceoffs and added 15 ground balls.
The Chargers started the game on a 6-0 run and held a 6-2 lead at halftime. In the third quarter, the Chargers added a goal to extend their lead to 7-2.
STAC scored three straight goals to cut the lead to 7-5 but DC added two goals to end the third quarter with a 9-5 lead.
The Chargers and the Spartans traded goals in the fourth quarter. DC never lost the lead and secured the 12-9 win.
The Spartans were led by Braiden Struss who scored three goals and also recorded a team-high three assists. Jason Beddows added two goals. Reno Molina, Jack Margetson, and Peter Johnson each added one goal.
Jonathan Farley added a goal and recorded one assist.
The Chargers will be back in action on Wednesday, March 23rd when they visit Caldwell University for the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game of the season. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM.
