GORDON SCORES CAREER HIGH IN WIN OVER GOLDEN FALCONS
Hillburn, N.Y. (3/26/22) Midfielder William Gordon (Amityville, N.Y.) scored a career high five goals to lead the Dominican College Men's Lacrosse Team to a 13-9 victory over the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played tonight at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

With the win Dominican wins their fourth straight game and improves to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Gordon finished with five goals, three ground balls and one caused turnover in the win.
Midfielder Kyle Benedetto (Wantagh, N.Y.) scored three goals, one assist and four groundballs.
Angel Rosario (Staten Island, N.Y.) led the team with three assists, while Terence O'Loughlin (Nanuet, N.Y.) added two assists.
Dominican accounted for all of the scoring in the first quarter as Gordon and Benedetto got things going for the early 2-0 lead. Gordon made the score 3-0 with 6:11 left in the quarter and Rosario closed out the quarter with his first game goal off the assist by James Conklin (Warwick, N.Y.) for the 4-0 lead.
Benedetto extended the Chargers lead with two goals to start the second quarter to make the score 6-0 and they cruised into the intermission with a 7-1 lead.
The Golden Falcons outscored the Chargers 4-2 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 9-5, but DC opened the final quarter with back-to-back scores to go ahead 11-5. Over the remaining 10:22 Felician scored four goals, while Dominican added two more for the final 13-9 score.
Goalkeeper Patrick Gifford (Galloway, N.J.) made 15 saves in the win.
The Chargers return to action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Chestnut Hill College.
