Wilmington, Del. (10/15/22) The Dominican University New York men's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw with host, Goldey-Beacom College, today in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest played at NCS Field.
Following the contest, Domnican now stands at 1-10-4 overall and 0-8-2 in conference play.
The Chargers took the early lead at the 5:51 mark when Armando Morales (Jupiter, Fla.) found the back of the net on a free kick shot from 20 yards out.
GBC tied the game in the 23rd minute and the game remained tied until the 73:56 mark when the Lightning took the 2-1 advantage.
Less than a minute later, freshman Aidan Guzik (Medford, N.Y.) netted his first collegiate goal to re-tie the score at 2-2.
The Lightning held the 17-11 advantage in shots, while the Chargers had nine corner kicks to GBC's six.
David Arteaga (Middlesex, N.J.) made three saves in the tie.
Dominican returns to action on Wednesday when they host the University of the District of Columbia in non-conference action at the OMM Soccer Complex.
