SOFTBALL FALLS TO NON-CONFERENCE OPPONENT PACE UNIVERSITY

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/5/22) The Dominican College softball team fell to the Setters of Pace University in a non-conference game played at the DC Softball Field in Orangeburg, N.Y.
The Setters defeated the Lady Chargers 8-0 in five innings to improve to 11-8 overall on the season. DC falls to 6-10 overall after the loss.
Giselle Garcia earned the win for Pace and recorded five strikeouts to help improve her record to 7-3.
The Setters scored all eight runs between the second inning and third inning. Sammi Swenson and Carolina Iturriage combined for three hits and five RBIs. Alexa Borino and Gwen Pederson each drove in one RBI.
For DC, Elizabeth Tolkan (Poughleepsie, N.Y.) and Brooke Lockwood (Moorpark, Calif.) each finished with one hit.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back when they host Nyack College on Wednesday, April 6th. Game one is scheduled for 2:30 PM and game two will follow at 4:30 PM.
