LADY CHARGERS TURN AWAY HOLY FAMILY UNIVERSITY FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/11/23) The Dominican University New York women’s basketball team defeated the Tigers of Holy Family University this afternoon by a score of 67-58 for their fourth straight win.

The Lady Chargers improve to 16-9 overall and 11-4 in conference play. The Tigers drop to 17-8 overall and 11-3 in the CACC.
The leading scorer for the Lady Chargers was Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) who finished with 18 points which was also a game-high. Mills finished a perfect 13-13 from the free-throw line.
Kristen Teklits (New Fairfield, Conn.) added 17 points on 7-12 from the field. Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) finished with eight points including two three-pointers.
Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) scored seven points and also added 10 boards and five assists. Angelina DiMarsico (Stony Point, N.Y.) also finished with seven points. Chidinma Ndukauba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added a team-high 13 boards in the win.
Dominican held a three-point lead after a strong first quarter. The Tigers held a two-point lead with 4:30 left to play in the second quarter, but Dominican finished the first half strong by going on a 12-3 run and took a 31-24 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Tigers cut the deficit to four points but the Lady Chargers finished the quarter in front 45-38 by the start of the fourth quarter.
Dominican extended to their largest lead of the game in the fourth quarter which was 14 points on their way to the 67-58 victory.
The Lady Chargers finished the game 19-21 from the free-throw line which helped Dominican secure the win.
The Tigers were led by Skyler Searfoss who finished with 17 points and nine rebounds. Carolyn Prevost added 16 points and a team-high 10 boards. Moe Moore added a team-high five assists as well as six points and seven boards.
The Lady Chargers will return to action next Saturday, February 18th when they host Bloomfield College for Senior Day at 1:00 PM.
