NITTINGER NAMED TO CACC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (4/14/23) Forty-three (43) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2022-23 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. All 13 CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.

All 13 CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.
Dominican University New York's Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) was named to the team for the third time in her career.
Chestnut Hill College led the way with 10 honorees on the team, while Goldey-Beacom College was next with six student-athletes making the squad.
CACC Player and Defensive Player of the Year, Haley Meinel (Thomas Jefferson University), made the squad with a 4.00 graduate cumulative grade point average and a 3.66 undergrad GPA.
NOTES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
♦ Four student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages (Chestnut Hill's Bri Hewlett, CHC's Morgan Sterner, Holy Family University's Anjelai Hayes, Jefferson's Meinel).
♦ Eleven (11) student-athletes notched GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Hayes was named to the team for the fifth time, while six other student-athletes were placed on the academic team for the fourth time in their respective careers (CHC's Lauren Crim, Hewlett, Leah Miller, Morgan Orloski, G-B's Jhordan Gardner, Lexi Weikert).
♦ Seven were named to the CACC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team for the third time in their respective careers.
♦ Nine were named to the unit for the second time in their respective careers.
♦ The eight teams to qualify for the CACC post-season tournament combined to have 29 honorees make the all-academic team.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.
