2018-2019 Dominican College Women’s Golf Season Summary
In the inaugural year, the team sports two golfers under head coach Keith Prokop. One golfer was not cleared by the NCAA until late in the fall so just Marissa DeMarco competed in three tournaments.
DeMarco had the high finish of 28th place at the Penmen Columbus Day Invite during the fall season.
Following the end of the fall semester, one of the golfers decided to not return to school.
In the spring, DeMarco competed in five tournaments, finishing as high as fifth place and two top 15 finishes. She began the spring season at the Revolutionary Spring Classic where she finished in 15th place.
At the Jefferson Tri Match #1, DeMarco took 14th place and she followed that with a 17th place finish at the Ursinus Spring Invitational.
She followed that performance with her highest finish of the season where she took fifth place at the Jefferson Spring Tri Match #3.
DeMarco ended the year at the Penmen Spring Invitational where she tied for 29th place.
Coach Prokop will look to bring in more golfers for next season and compete as a full team.
